Custom Domain Authentication

PreviousWelcomeNextCheck-in through control access

Last updated 2 years ago

What is it?

A customization of the sender email of the platform where all emails that users will receive will be identified as if they were from the company itself. Which makes the system more transparent and with the presentation of the client's identity to its employees instead of Skedway.

Procedure

The configuration of this feature requires technical support from the Skedway team, as 3 procedures are performed, the first requires access to the SendGrid platform for domain registration and the release of trigger records that will be sent to the client, the second is the configuration of the client's servers with the records sent and the third party and the parameterization of the domains within the Skedway platform.

  • It is mandatory that the email sender are configured in the correct sequence, otherwise, the emails that are sent with the Skedway domain to SendGrid do not identify the customer server, and no notification, alert or information will be sent to the final recipient, the users.

  • Triggers will remain that way until the setup is completed or returned to its previous state.

Procedure 1

This procedure is based on SendGrid's own documentation and is intended for the Skedway team to generate the records for the customer.

Procedure 2

This procedure is intended for the client, where he will need to enter the administrative platform where his server is hosted to add the records provided by SendGrid.

Each platform is different and has its configuration structure, however, the organization of information is consistent between all.

In your platform settings, access the menu representing the HOSTING ZONES or HOSTING REGISTRATION. Once inside look for the option to add new records. Paste the records copied from SendGrid, respecting its parameters. If you have a registry option, make sure it corresponds correctly with each copied parameter.

Procedure 3

This procedure is performed on the Skedway platform by the customer.

The user must have the access profile with permission to change company information.

  1. The user must log in to the system (web console)

  2. Access the email configuration tab through the path ADMINISTRATION > MY COMPANY > E-MAIL SETTINGS > in the SENDING SETTINGS section.

  3. Fill in the following fields:

    1. Sender name: Only the customer's identifying name

    2. Sender's email: Put the same domain that was added in the SendGrid settings (Procedure 1)
